Gilbraith (TS) Limited of Iron Street Blackburn is a successful Transport and Logistics company, with the only private Rail Freight terminal in the North West. Gilbraith has a heritage that goes back 80 years, and offers a comprehensive range of storage and distribution services.

They are the use of leading edge technology to cover their successful and growing Stock and Logistics operation.

Gilbraith receive client stock into their premises at Blackburn and then pick and dispatch to their clients customers.

They are upgrading the IT System that supports this activity, and taking the opportunity to enable clients - with their customers and suppliers - to access a dedicated web site to process transactions and to view stock holding and progress of transit goods.

The project is being supported by Blackburn with Darwin Council.

The MD, Steve Gibbons, said "We were very impressed with the way that ML came to an immediate understanding of the functionality of our client system and how we wish to upgrade and extend it.

"The prospect of the improved customer support is already generating much interest both in out existing client base and with some significant new prospects as well."

The system will be fully implemented early in the new year.
