Our Team



Joe Norris


Joe is a Mechanical Engineer ( Loughborough University) who moved into ‘Management Services’ during employment with British Aerospace, Gullick Dobson Mining Engineers, and Echlin Automotive Corporation.


Following a period as Manufacturing Systems Consultant with Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys) he co-founded BEC System Services in Blackburn. The company designed, developed and implemented two generations of MRP/ERP solutions, in particular the highly successful MTMS product (now ‘evolution’) which has been used by hundreds of medium to large organisations around the world. The company also pioneered manufacturing systems integration (links between management systems and production resources).

Joe was MD of BEC from its formation in 1978 until he left in 1991.

He has lectured across Europe, North America, Japan and Australia.

In the last six years he has been particularly active in developing and implementing functional solutions for small to medium sized organisations.

Malcolm Germain


Malcolm has spent many years in the Manufacturing and Logistics systems arena, working with a range of organisations.

As well as general systems design and development he has specialised in inter-systems connectivity, with particular experience in accessing and updating Corporate Information Systems using wireless devices, such as 802.11 bar-code scanners & terminals and spread-spectrum wireless devices.

A typical solution involves dynamic order/stock control for a range of ERP systems (Oracle, Sage, Movex, etc) actioned via WAP phones and wireless PALM and Pocket-PC devices connected to all four major UK networks.

He has a track record of fast, accurate software development for departmental and company-wide applications.

Majid Ali


Majid has been active in system analysis and design with several organisations in East Lancashire for a number of years.

He holds an MSc postgraduate degree in Information Systems from the University of Salford. With ML Majid is responsible for providing full support and implementation of system projects.

With his background in system analysis and project management, Majid's experience and technical knowledge is of vital importance to ML's clients.

Noel Hensman


Noel has wide experience in the Manufacturing and Engineering sector, having worked for 30 years in various positions, including Site Project Manager, at ICI. This primed him to use his Change Management skills to work with companies on strategies to improve their process efficiency, to develop products towards effective realisation and to improve overall business performance.

He has been a business adviser for 9 years, and has a special interest in the development of solutions using innovative processes and technologies. Noel has a Degree in Mechanical Sciences and a BA (Hons) in Quantitative Methods and Systems Analysis. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Graham Pryce


Graham is an I.T. Professional who initially worked for British Aerospace in Computer Operations and Business Systems Development before joining Crown Decorative Group as Operations Manager responsible for Group IT operations.

His next assignment took him to Tehran where he was responsible for Business System development and Computer Operations across a group of 13 manufacturing companies located throughout Iran.

On returning to the UK, Graham joined a Manufacturing Systems Software development organisation where he was involved in various customer support, account development and sales management roles. Following a takeover of the Company, Graham was appointed International Marketing Manager responsible for developing accounts in over 80 manufacturing user sites across 15 countries and for creating new Business Units for the Company in North, Central and South America.

Krishan Mehra


Krish is a textile engineer with post graduate qualifications in Management Sciences from UMIST. He started his career in Production Control in companies like Silentnight, Oxley Engineering, and National Supply before moving into Systems Analysis.

Krish has over 25 years experience of working in all types of manufacturing industry as an MIS consultant for ERP, Supply Chain, Flow-line Manufacturing systems within the UK as well as in Switzerland, America, New Zealand and Australia.

Krish's wide experience and personality makes him very effective at ensuring the practical and successful integration of technology, strategy and organisation culture at all management levels of an enterprise. We believe this to be fundamental for successfully introducing new systems in small to medium size companies.
